All Hart on Day One of Federal Open

Queensland’s Tim Hart has jumped to a commanding three shot lead after the first round of the Federal
Amateur Open Championship.
Hart was the only player to break par, finishing the day three under par on 69.
Tied on even par are Darren Baxter from Port Kembla and Kiwi, Landyn Edwards from Rotorua. Edwards
played in the last Federal Open as a member of New Zealand’s Foundation Junior team
The course was in excellent condition but tough pin placements drew some criticism with one player
taking five putts after landing on the par 3 third hole.
