British Open Preview

With the British Summer looking more like the Bay of plenty winter, this weeks champion will have to be patient and above all be able to work with all the elements thrown at him. Wind, Rain, hard fast firm fairways and greens, this course will suit a player who has the ablity to play the high fade, not only to stop the ball on the greens but also on the fairways, any low drawing shot will be very hard to stop and playing from the fairway into these greens is a must if you want to make birdies.
My Picks to win - Lee Westwood
to be right up there - Ian Poulter, loves the challenging conditions and this Championship
                             - Rory Mcllory, U.S Open what more to say
                             - Graeme McDowell, grew playing at Royal Portrush, these conditions are nothing new to him
of the Americans - dont be supprised to see Phil Mickleson right up there, he has a terrible track record at the Open Championship, but this could be his time
Rest of the World - Adam Scott, Steve Williams on the bag and loads of talent, also a great player of the high fade.
