This was our third trail and all golfers were to be tested today in very warm conditions. The Taupo was golf course was in brilliant condition with the greens being near perfect and running at around 10 on the stimp meter.
I had the pleasure of playing with Will Song who played some great golf but just had a little trouble scoring on a course he had never played before, William Howard played solid golf but just could not get the puts to drop, Piki Skerrett played himself into contension with a solid round and Tekotuku TeAute continues to be Mr consistency and Luke Robinson is still in the mix.

Circuit Training Golf Style
Waiariki Academy of Sport Golf Academy players are put through a testing circuit. The circuit is designed to test the golfers through performance based practice.
Driver 230 meters, 15 meters wide target
Short/Mid Iron 135 meters between a 10 meter wide target
Wedge shot to a Green 100 meters away
35 foot chip shot to a 5 foot circle
10 meter bunker shot to a 5 foot circle

William Howard Makes Bay of Plenty Senior Mens Team
William Howard has given the call up to repersent the Bay of Plenty in the prestigous SBS Invitational golf tournament beening played at the Invercargill Golf Club. The tournament is played on the 5th and 6th of March.

A red hot day at the Rotorua Golf Club has seen some solid scoring, Luke Robinson and Michael Harris played great golf on the front nine but came undone in the heat and dropped shots over the last few holes.

Rotorua Boys High School
Rotorua Boys high Golf Academy Welcomes this Golf Academy members.
William Howard, William Brown, Jason Kim, TeKotuku Te Aute, Piki Skerrett, Luke Robinson, Michael Harris, Tawhirimatea Witoko and Will Song.
In just over a month the Golf Academy will be heading to Gisbourne to defend our Super 8 title that we won in 2010 at the Manawatu golf club. It is a huge honour to represent your school especially when your school is Rotorua Boys High.
